REGIONAL RECOVERY CENTER
On February 6, 2023, after the earthquake disaster that affected our city and region, a "Regional Recovery Center" was established within our Chamber to carry out activities and projects for the socio-economic needs of the region.
The center, established in cooperation with Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce and İhtiyaç Haritası, will support the work of GTO affiliates GAGA, GETHAM and Destek A.Ş., as well as IDEMA and INOGAR, which have organic ties with İhtiyaç Haritası, in the formation of areas of expertise.
The projects, which will include different activities ranging from creating temporary offices and storage areas to creating partnerships between businesses, from training to psychosocial support, are aimed to be implemented as soon as possible.
Since Gaziantep is one of the most important economic centers of the country, it is important that the work to be done starts from Gaziantep with a regional development perspective.
In this context, the results of the damage assessment survey conducted in 11 provinces affected by the earthquake will form the basis for the projects to be carried out in the region.
