VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROJECT FOR KNITWEAR AND SHOES INDUSTRY
The project was implemented in collaboration with Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce (GTO) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) with the aim of improving livelihood opportunities for Syrians under temporary protection in Gaziantep and local citizens in Gaziantep.
Within the scope of the project, three different workshops were established at Hacı Sani Konukoğlu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School with up-to-date technological equipment for the knitwear and garment sectors, including pattern and pattern design programs. Within the scope of the project, which was carried out with the aim of training intermediate staff for the knitwear, ready-to-wear and footwear sectors, training and awareness-raising activities were organized in areas such as foreign trade, marketing, business English, designing and managing company websites, and vocational trainings to train qualified workforce in the areas needed by sector representatives.
The workshops established within Hacı Sani Konukoğlu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School are currently being used to contribute to the practical training of students studying at the school.
